Our new kneepad. Developed and tested over the past year. Extremely flexible, strong, and durable.
The design of the ProteX Knee allows the knee component to flex easily along its width without a reduction in strength.
The shape extends around to the inside of the knee, which is a traditional high wear area.
Short zip
Many of our competitors are making super stretch neoprene and at the same time using a long zipper which won’t stretch at all.
Due to the improvements in technology we have been able to reduce the length of the vertical zippers in these wetsuits.
The reduced length V-Zip allows more stretch while minimizes water leakage and,
offers the easy access of a traditional vertical back zip wetsuit.

Airflex lined is our high performance dual laminate neoprene. The outer lining is more durable and the neoprene

Airflex2
Airflex is a new generation neoprene developed from aircore neoprene. Features extra stretch (500%),
increased UV tolerance and added warmth. It is easily identified by our trademark Airflex² print found on the inside of our wetsuits.
Anti Choke collar
On all our suits we use a Anti Choke collar made out of superstretch Airflex2 neoprene.
The collar always closes tight without choking you.
Extended Cuffs
On our long sleeve suits we designed our cuffs with long stretch seam technology. This gives added stretch,
which improves the comfort and fit, while minimizing water entry.
EZI zipper pull

Full mesh
All our FULL MESH suits have no double lined components in their construction.
Double lined material absorbs water which, when exposed to wind, will cause the area of the suit to cool.
The FULL MESH construction prevents this wind chill effect, as any water runs off the outer surface of the mesh.
FULL MESH suits are warmer and thus, more comfortable

W.R.C
The W.R.C prevents water from penetrating the neoprene by protecting the fibres with its coating. This gives the rider better wind chill protection and makes the suit lighter through decreased water absorption.
Short zip
Many of our competitors are making super stretch neoprene and at the same time using a long zipper which won’t stretch at all. Due to the improvements in technology we have been able to reduce the length of the vertical zippers in these wetsuits. The reduced length V-Zip allows more stretch while minimizes water leakage and, offers the easy access of a traditional vertical back zip wetsuit.
Leg Cuffs
To add to the ease of use, leg cuffs with adjustable velcro closure are featured on our Pro Series and Freeride Series suits. These feature extended velcro pull tabs and rubber reinforcing patches.
Extended Cuffs
On our long sleeve suits we designed our cuffs with long stretch seam technology. This gives added stretch, which improves the comfort and fit, while minimizing water entry.
Airflex2
Airflex is a new generation neoprene developed from aircore neoprene. Features extra stretch (500%), increased UV tolerance and added warmth. It is easily identified by our trademark Airflex² print found on the inside of our wetsuits.
5 Way flex knee
We have designed a completely new kneepad. Anatomically shaped and surface optimised for more stretch and maximum protection. On double lined neoprene we use a 5 way flex design. On mesh neoprene we use a seamless Protex embossed design.

The perfect combination of a dry suit and a wetsuit! The lower part of the suit is made out of neoprene. The top is made out of breathable micro fiber material. The loose top has latex seals on arm cuffs and collar. The middle section of the suit is tighter to prevent water from going up. In this section we created a neoprene panel to make your waist harness slide. The lower part of the suit is made out of_nbsp_neoprene. The top is made out of breathable micro fiber material. The perfect combination for kiting and windsurfing. _nbsp_

Double lined material absorbs water which, when exposed to wind, will cause the area of the suit to cool.
The FULL MESH construction prevents this wind chill effect, as any water runs off the outer surface of the mesh.

Anti Choke collar

Why is the Fusion made of Neoprene?
Basically two reasons: First of all because Neoprene has superior heat retention
properties compared to Nylon fabric. Second reason is the flexibility of Neoprene!
Nylon does not stretch and therefore
restricts the freedom of movement.
Our Fusion Drysuit fits less bulky than a baggy Nylon suit, but more loose fit
compared to a conventional snug-fit Neoprene wetsuit. Therefore you feel
completely unrestricted in any way. Dressing up is super convenient and actually
it feels much more like wearing a comfortable work-overall rather than a tight wetsuit!

Is the Fusion really so much warmer?
Yes, you bet! The all new ION Fusion Drysuit will probably be the warmest suit you

We found out that wearing the Fusion, your body saves so much extra heat for the extremities,
that you will feel surprisingly warm in your hands, feet and head. No more deep-frozen

Also compare the Fusion with a Nylon suit when you are actually swimming in freezing

What do I wear under the drysuit?
Always wear functional first-layer underwear such as ION Thermo Tops and ION
Boxer Shorts made of quick drying antibacterial BiPolyPropylene.
Even though you will sweat it will keep your skin
feel pretty dry and comfortable.
Additional thermal fleece garment provides extra warmth if needed. Avoid naked skin
or cotton underwear, because it only sucks up the sweat and makes your skin freeze.

Why is the Fusion Drysuit heavier than Nylon drysuits
Damn right, the Fusion is heavier than a Nylon suit - thats because it is completely
made of highly insulating Neoprene plus super warm ION Hot_Stuff jersey inside.
It also includes useful pockets and a smart hood. But this new concept offers so
much more warmth in comparison, which a conventional Nylon suit never can achieve.
Remember, the thin Nylon shell basically does not provide any heat retention -
you always have to wear very thick thermo insulation underneath (plus a stupid looking hood)
to keep you warm at all. Add it all up and you find out, all the stuff is not much lighter and you are still freezing.
Also do not judge the weight only by holding it up with your arm! Try it on and you´ll find out,
it does not feel heavy at all once you wear it - even on the water when it is wet!

Why must I put grease on the dryzipper?
Lubrication is super essential for proper coupling of the chain when opening or
closing the zipper! It makes it slide much easier all the way to the end
of the zipper-garage and prevents the zipper-chains from snapping apart.
So always invest a few seconds before using the drysuit and take the little
grease tube delivered with the drysuit (or any other acid free grease or oil)
to lubricate the zipper properly. Just think of other situations in life,
where lubrication is essential for success...

What can I do when the zipper did come apart?
Well, normally this can only happen, when the zipper was not greased properly
or abused in a way it shouldn´t. Always use lubrication and do not apply too
much force or pull it in a wrong direction! Always let someone help you
closing and opening the zipper smoothly along the line, then you are fine!
If it does snap apart though, do not freak out - normally the zipper can be fully
fixed with moderate force as it is descibed on the zipper manual or on the www.tizip.com website!

How do I use the Latex cuffs?
The Latex cuffs on the neck, wrists and feet are highly elastic seals to prevent any
water to leak in. They are very thin and sensitive so treat them with care!
When sliding through the cuffs, avoid sharp fingernails and exessive force.
First slide through the ankle cuffs, then second the wrists before sticking your
head through the neck cuff. It works surprisingly easy when your right hand
pulls on the center backside of the neck, while your left hand grabs from the frontside
and pulls open the Latex cuff downwards when your face slips through!
When storing the drysuit for longer time, please put some Talcum powder on all Latex
cuffs for conservation to keep them smooth and elastic. In case of damaged

Can I cut the Latex cuffs to adjust my neck size?
Yes, very simple! The Latex cuffs come in a pretty tight dimension.
To ensure perfect waterproofness and wearing comfort please customize
the Latex cuff opening to the size of your neck. It must be fairly
tight to be waterproof, but should not choke when breathing.
Simply fold the cuff flat and hold it without too much tension with two hands.
A second person should use sharp scissors to trim the cuff along the small ribs.
Attention: try out the fit in small steps, so it is not too loose!

How do I use the hood?
Most of the body heat is lost on your head - that´s why the Fusion has a smart hood,
which you can wear on the beach and even riding on the water!
It also works in combination with an additional ION Neo Beanie or Neo Hood.
Simply put it over your head and pull the front elastic cord to seal your face.
Then pull on the elastic drawcord on the back of your head to adjust the tension.
It will keep the hood wrapped tightly around your head and
keep your eyesight open while turning your head to left and right!
If you don´t like wearing the hood, you can simply fold the top part into the
hood and use it as a large wind shield stand-up collar on the back of your neck.
